Our Pastor

Pastor Ernestine Thomas is Founder and Pastor of Turning Point Harvest Center, formerly Setting Captives Free Ministries in Stuttgart, Arkansas.  She is the devoted wife of Robert Thomas; a biological mother of four; adoptive mother as well as a foster mother for 24 years  in quest of her "Mercy Ministry."

Pastor Thomas started out with a food pantry, homeless shelter, street ministry, & prison ministry as a CRA with Arkansas Department of Correction, and worked with unwed mothers while serving on the HIV/Aids Consortium-where many captives were set free.  The Arkansas Democrat Gazette appreciated Pastor Thomas' dedication and service and  awarded her "Mother of the Year" because of the impact she made in the state and city with families and reunification.

In 1997, Governor Jim Guy Tucker appointed Pastor Thomas to the "Child Welfare Licensing Review Board," the first black and first female to ever be appointed to the board.  Pastor Thomas served as an advisory board member at Phillips Community College in Stuttgart as well as with Arkansas County Partners in Health.  Pastor Thomas has served as an instructor with Full Counsel School of Ministry where Bishop Silas Johnson is her Pastor.  Because of her services rendered, once again, Pastor Thomas was rewarded; she was chosen by Channel 7 News as one of the 2008 "Arkansans of the Week."

Most importantly, Pastor Ernestine Thomas has been appointed and anointed by God for such a time as this.  She doesn't stand in the wisdom of man, but the power of God-traveling extensively all over the world with the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ to Set the Captives Free through lifting up the name of Jesus.
